C. S. Lewis reminds us that at the end of the day creation has value for the mere—yet staggering—fact that it is God’s workmanship. In this brief sentence Lewis captures something like the magnetic north of all our thinking about creation care: Creation is the product of his hands, his mind, his imagination and as such has tremendous, enduring value.
