flourish09-logoThe Flourish 2009 Church Leaders Conference on Creation Care, the FIRST conference of its kind, will kick off tomorrow, Wednesday May 13, at Cross Pointe Church in Duluth, Georgia, at 1:30pm.

Drawing crowds from across the country, the conference will feature speakers like Ed Stetzer from Lifeway Research, author and speaker Margaret Feinberg, Floresta‘s executive director Scott Sabin, World Hope International‘s founder Jo Anne Lyon, pastor and former Southern Baptist Convention president James Merritt, Matthew and Nancy Sleeth of Blessed Earth, Fermi Project guru Gabe Lyons, pastor Joel Hunter, and Andy Crouch–author of Culture Making, and many others.

The topics that will be covered are no less exhaustive: how to weave creation care into the multi-faceted ministry of the church; what creation care has to do with international poverty; the exciting things local churches are doing to till and keep the earth; the power of youth in the creation care movement; the expert nuts and bolts of how to “green” buildings and grounds; and, ultimately, a sharing of Christ’s hope for the shalom of all that was created by and for him.

You can still register for the conference! And email admin@flourishonline.org to reach the Flourish staff directly about possible scholarships.
